Product Description: Igniter Removal and Replacement

To remove and replace the igniter, follow these steps for a quick and easy process:

1. Begin by turning off the pump and all electrical power to ensure safety.
2. Disconnect the igniter wires at the Molex connector.
3. Loosen the nuts that are holding the igniter bracket securely in place.
4. Carefully remove the Hot Surface Ignitor (HSI) from its position.
5. Test the resistance across the HSI - it should be between 50-500 Ohm at room temperature. Keep in mind that cracks in the HSI may affect its performance without being visible.
6. To replace the HSI, simply reverse the steps mentioned above. Note: Always replace the igniter gasket when replacing the HSI. Our kit (77707-0054) includes the necessary components for this replacement.

The igniter is situated in the top center of the Combustion Chamber and plays a crucial role in the heating process: 1. The Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) is electrically heated to ignite the Burner. 2. It takes approximately 20 seconds for the HSI to reach its operating temperature, ensuring efficient ignition.
