Noritz's ecoTOUGH Series of gas fired residential condensing tankless water heaters, the ENERGY STAR rated NRC711, is specifically designed for smaller homes and multi-family dwellings. The indoor unit, NRC711-DV, is a wall mounted system with a two-pipe direct vent feature. It boasts an impressive energy factor (EF) of 0.94 for both natural gas and liquid propane, which is significantly higher than traditional gas-fired water heaters.

Key features of the NRC711-DV include a safety lock out with a default maximum temperature of 120 degrees (higher temperatures can be set by referring to the owner's manual), a remarkable 93% efficiency rating, a standard burner with a high performance single flame burner, and a fully modulating burner that adjusts automatically. The Turbo Flow system allows for a flow rate of up to 7.1 gallons per minute at a 35-degree temperature rise (or 6.3 GPM at a 45-degree rise).
